This mod increases the audible distance of police cars sirens, allowing you to hear them from much farther away in the distance than in vanilla. Sirens now feel much more realistic and atmospheric especially in dense urban areas, and giving you a bigger sense of scale.
Is compatible with custom siren mods as well, enjoy.
Installation:
Drag and drop the .oiv file into the OpenIV window.
Includes uninstall OIV.

Also, complete side note but might be in your wheelhouse to help me; do you know if it's possible to increase the volume of the loading music "td_loading_music.awc" in the "PROLOGUE.rpf"? I have my own custom music in there, but even cranked, it seems that track is destined to play pretty softly no matter what. I wonder if this is something you might be able to help me with or advise?
So what exactly does this do, does it only make the ambient siren (which is the PA20) louder from further away, or does it work with the actual siren and the ambient siren is somewhat replaced.
What I mean by that is, do the different siren types in-game get recognized or do they remain "Near" only?
@NationGamer090 Basically makes actual police car sirens audible from farther away, the different siren types should be affected aswell

@CaptainJack I checked the files, and it turns says loading music is already cranked up to 1000, which should be loud, but probably isn't considering the standard DB rockstar makes their loading music alone, might wanna increase it if you wanna see (in this file)
@itsyaboi0008 That did the trick! I didn't know where to look for its volume control but you are right it is literally in the same file you modified for this mod so that was fantastic to discover after all this time. For me the loading music 'volume' was set to -100 on line "1125" which indeed controls the intro menu music. I cranked it to 1500 and now finally it is at a perfect level. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, cheers.
