Notification News & Weather
Notification News & Weather is a lightweight GTA V immersion script.
It adds dynamic in-game notifications such as random news, live weather updates, temperature reports, police bulletins, and emergency broadcasts, all displayed using GTA V’s native notification feed system.
Built with realism and stability in mind, this script uses smart cooldowns, delays, and strict text safety limits to prevent spam, UI cut-offs, and inconsistent notifications.

All content is fully editable via XML.
• Live Weather Notifications
Displays current weather conditions with optional forecast text.
Smart logic prevents weather notifications from appearing consecutively.
• Real-Time Temperature System
Dynamic temperature based on weather, time of day, and location.
Supports Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
Custom temperature icons via XML.
• Wanted Level Police Bulletins (1–5 Stars)
Notifications trigger only after the wanted level remains stable for a short duration.
Prevents trainer / Menyoo wanted level mismatch issues.
Priority-based system (not affected by MinTime / MaxTime).
• Civilian Incident & Emergency Reports
Triggers when civilians are killed by the player (shooting, vehicle impact, melee).
Supports “Multiple Casualties” reports when many deaths occur within a short time window.
Includes automatic delay and cooldown system.
• Location Awareness
Automatically displays street and area name.
Optional per-category via locationPrefix in XML.
• Custom Icon Support
Supports custom TXD icons (nnw_icons.ytd).
Automatic fallback to default GTA icons if custom icons fail to load.
• Multi-language Support
EN / ID / RU supported.
Automatic fallback to English if the language input is invalid or mistyped.

@lecal Sorry, have you tried changing the MinTime and MaxTime for testing?
For example:
MinTime = 5
MaxTime = 6
I'm using ScriptHookVDotNet 3 Nightly 93
@DexterLooo My apologies, removed bad rating. The issue is with one setting and only one setting. To fix the script not working go in the Game Menu, Settings, Notifications and make sure phone alerts is turned on. None of the other settings including the frequency matter, only phone alerts. Once switched to ON, the script will work as expected.
yeah I have that setting on but it still isn't working for me
@DEMON_PLAYZZZZ do you have a script or a trainer that is disabling alerts and similarly is your weather fixed or does it change like the unmodded game. Check both. Even ignore wanted levels could cause issues. For full transparency i didn’t test this script. Instead i wrote my own script for weather only and it didn’t work until i put the phone alerts back on. That made me realize that weather etc must not be paused by scripts or trainers as well.

This script was tested and confirmed working on ScriptHookVDotNet 3 v3.7.0-nightly.93, with Phone Alerts enabled in Game Settings> Notifications. as said by @lecal
If notifications still do not appear, please double-check that:
Must use ScriptHookVDotNet3 -v3.7.0-nightly.93
Phone Alerts are enabled in the game settings (this is required for THEFEED notifications).
The script is placed in the scripts folder and the NNW_Data folder is present.
The nnw_icons.ytd is installed correctly in mods\update\update.rpf\x64\textures\script_txds.rpf.
It is recommended to watch the video tutorial if you are still confused.
@DexterLooo There is no default nnw_icons.ytd in script_txds.rpf to replace so do I just place it in there?

About Los Santos RED: at the moment, there is no direct integration planned. That mod heavily modifies emergency systems, dispatch logic, and audio/notification behavior, which may conflict with how this script listens for events.
I’ll keep it in mind for the future
It is working with Enhanced, just need to convert it with Codewalker - RPF Explorer -> Tools ->Asset Converter

@aheen Berfungsi juga dengan versi Enhanced, hanya saja file “nnw_icons.ytd” yang termasuk dalam mod harus dikonversi menggunakan Codewalker Asset Converter.
Saya menggunakan versi Enhanced dan mod tersebut berfungsi dengan baik.
Works perfectly. I wish there were a way to use the selected player flag to have specific messages only appear if you have Michael, Franklin, or Trevor selected though. Then we could have detailed messages about the suspect instead of generic descriptions!
